Why you should contribute

It’s a fun experience and the perfect choice for learning objective-c and the iPhone API.
It’s semi-famous with over 10.000 downloads a month .
You have total control as the license gives you permission to fork your own code if you are not happy with my decisions.

Open Source

28 02 2010

The source code is finally released!

You can find the source code on github.  As long as you don’t make money on my code and also link to my webpage in your app, you are free to fork my code to make your own reader. My hope is that there will be more free iphone manga readers out there because of this.

I do of course welcome patches. If anyone want to help by adding features or fixing bugs I would be grateful.

Now resumes at the last read page for that particular chapter.

Fixed some bugs that made the program crash when loading too many chapters. Load times for the chapter display have improved as a result.

There seems like some of you cannot start the program. I suspect there is some packages that are missing on these iPhones/iPod touches. I would very much like to make it work for you guys so I would appreciate it if you could tell me the following:

Is the current version working for you, has it ever been working you? Do you have Rock? If so could you send me a mail from Rock instead? It will give me a list of packages you currently have installed. Do you have sqlite3 and libxml2 installed according to Cydia/Rock?

Could you send me a crash log? Whenever you synchronize your iPhone or iPod Touch, all the crash logs are transferred to your computer. Here are their locations:

  • Mac OS X :~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>
  • Windows XPC:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/<DEVICE_NAME>
  • Windows VistaC:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>

I cannot do anything without some of this information.
